Samosharan Temple (Last Sermon Site).
Almost every tour stops only at Jal Mandir, the lotus-pond marble shrine marking Mahavira's nirvana. Samosharan, the small temple 3 km away marking the spot of his last sermon, gets a tenth of the footfall.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
The ganadhar stambh (pillar) here marks the exact spot where Mahavira is said to have delivered his final sermon before nirvana around 500 BCE. There's a small museum on site with Jain artefacts and life-of-Mahavira paintings. For Jain pilgrims this completes the Pawapuri visit; for non-Jains it explains what Jal Mandir actually commemorates.
