The trade-off is location: Hyatt Regency sits inside the Elante Mall complex in Sector 35, which puts the Rock Garden 10 minutes by auto, while JW Marriott in Sector 35-B is less walkable to the old-city sights but easier if your itinerary is spa-and-dinner rather than monument-heavy. Neither property is fully consistent right now—both carry Dec 2025–Feb 2026 service complaints—so neither earns an unconditional push up. If the Marriott's price band is your ceiling, stay there. If it isn't, there is no Taj or Oberoi in Chandigarh to upgrade into.
