Kuari Pass Trek is a moderate 5-day, 26 km trek, topping out at 3,876 m. The route takes in Nanda Devi panorama; Lord Curzon trail; Oak and rhodo forests. Best months: April–May and September–October. Watch points: Altitude acclimatize; cold nights; muddy post-monsoon. Fitness level: moderate, not recommended for children under 12. Nearest hospital: PHC Auli 5km. CHC Joshimath 10km. Serious cases: District Hospital Chamoli 60km. Network coverage: Jio/BSNL at Joshimath and Auli. Patchy at Gorson. No signal at Tali or Kuari Pass.
