Dayara Bugyal Trek is a moderate 3-day, 28 km trek, topping out at 3,408 m. The route takes in Massive alpine meadow — one of largest in India; Bandarpoonch and Draupadi Ka Danda peak views; Spectacular autumn colors (October-November); Winter snow trek possible (December-January). Best months: May–June and September–December. Watch points: Inner Line Permit required from Uttarkashi DM office; weather turns suddenly at meadow — carry warm layers; no tree cover at bugyal — exposed to wind and sun. Fitness level: moderate, permits required, suitable for children with adult supervision. Nearest hospital: District Hospital Uttarkashi — 45km from Barsu, 2 hours by road. Network coverage: BSNL works in Barsu. No network at Barnala Tal or Dayara Bugyal. Satellite phone recommended.
