Bali Pass Trek
Bali Pass Trek is a hard 7-day, 55 km trek, topping out at 4,950 m. The route takes in Connects Har Ki Dun and Yamunotri — two iconic valleys; Technical pass crossing at 4950m; Ancient villages of Osla and Seema; Views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Kalanag. Best months: May–June and September–October. Watch points: Pass crossing requires crampons, ice axe, and rope; steep snow wall on pass approach — guide mandatory; aMS risk above 4500m — acclimatize properly. Fitness level: extreme, permits required, not recommended for children under 16. Nearest hospital: District Hospital Uttarkashi — 95km from Sankri (start), 80km from Yamunotri (end). No medical help for 4 days mid-trek. Network coverage: BSNL in Sankri and Osla (weak). Zero coverage days 3-5. BSNL returns at Yamunotri.
