Celebrates Lord Murugan's birthday and the day he received the divine spear (Vel) from Goddess Parvati. Devotees participate in elaborate rituals including ceremonial bathing of the deity and carrying kavadis (wooden frameworks) as offerings. Marked by processions and devoted worship.
