January Patnitop is J&K's most accessible snow destination. At 2024m on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, this plateau town offers genuine snow experience just 112 km from Jammu—no Srinagar flight needed. Temperatures: -5°C to 5°C. Snow covers the pine forests, meadows, and the town's basic ski slopes. Paragliding operates on clear days. The Jammu weekender crowd fills hotels on weekends.
