March is Bikaner's last comfortable month before the heat takes over. Temperatures push to 30-34°C by late March. The Holi festival (usually mid-March) is celebrated with particular intensity in Rajasthan — Bikaner's old city lanes become rivers of colour. Mornings are still pleasant for sightseeing but afternoons start demanding shade and water.
