Glory Peak.
Pfutsero itself is a 6-7 hour drive from Kohima and rarely on Nagaland circuits; the Everest-visibility window is so narrow most visitors miss it.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
Roughly 2,600 m peak 3-4 km from Pfutsero town, reached by a stone-paved trail through pine forest that turns to alpine grass near the top. On crystal mornings between November and February — about 15 days a year — Mount Everest is visible to the north-west and Saramati (Nagaland's highest) sits clean to the east. The Phek district tourism department maintains a single bamboo treehouse at the summit clearing. Best: November-February for distance views and frost on the trail; sunrise window 5.30-6.30am. Reach: 4 km hike from Pfutsero town via the Glory Peak trail; trailhead signed at the BSNL tower junction. Tip: Stay overnight in Pfutsero and walk up before dawn — by 9am cloud cover almost always closes the Everest line.
