Namphalong / Tamu Day Market.
Most travel guides describe Moreh as the Indian end-point and stop there. The actual cross-border bazaar at Namphalong (and Tamu beyond it) is a one-day-pass walk away that very few Indian travellers know is open.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
Indian citizens get a free day-pass at Moreh Gate 1 (carry photo ID) and walk 5 km into Namphalong-Tamu market in Myanmar's Sagaing Region — Burmese tho stalls, longyi cloth shops, jade and Chinese imports under Buddhist gilt-roof temples. The only spot in mainland India where you cross into Southeast Asia on foot without a visa.
