A café set inside the government-managed Daringbadi (Kilabadi) coffee plantation — one of the oldest coffee-growing tracts in India — serving coffee grown and processed on site. It is run by the Betania women's Self Help Group, whose members were trained in coffee processing as a local-empowerment initiative, and was set up under the Kandhamal district administration. Drinking estate-grown coffee at its source is the single most distinctive food experience in the 'Kashmir of Odisha'.
Tip: This is the one genuinely on-brand stop in Daringbadi — taste the local coffee where it is grown, not a town café. The garden also has a children's amusement zone and a butterfly-shaped selfie point, so it works as a family halt. Pair it with the coffee-and-pepper plantation walk; carry cash.

The dining facility of the government Daringbadi Nature Camp, run under Odisha's eco-tourism programme amid pine forest and coffee-garden surroundings. Cottage tariffs include breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the kitchen serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian home-style Odia meals — effectively the in-house dining for one of the most popular places to stay at this hill station.
Tip: Meals are geared to camp residents and run on fixed sittings, so this is for travellers booked into the Nature Camp rather than walk-in diners — confirm meal timings at check-in. Book the cottage well ahead in winter season, as the camp fills quickly. Tariffs already bundle all three meals.

Tip: Best as a simple, cheap lunch stop rather than a destination meal. As with most Daringbadi kitchens, food is freshest in tourist season and during the main meal windows — turn up at standard lunch and dinner hours rather than odd times. Cash only is safest.

Tip: Daringbadi has limited and inconsistent restaurant options, so a hotel restaurant like this is the safer choice — and it does not require staying at the hotel. Food quality is best in peak tourist season (winter); in the off-season, order ahead as kitchens run light. Carry cash; card and UPI are unreliable here.
