The local stretch of riverside cafes have plastic tables set directly inside the cold stream, so you eat Maggi and pakoras with your feet in the water. The flow is shallow enough for kids and shaded enough by deodar that it stays cool through May. Sits on the Chail-Solan road, so it works as a stop on the way out rather than a separate trip.
