Scientific explanations involve fog + light disorientation. Visit during day for the village + lookout point. 90 min. Lunch back in Haflong.
Fiangpui village (5km) for Zeme Naga cultural experience — one of Nagaland's indigenous Naga tribes who also live in Dima Hasao. Maibang (48km, 1.5h) — the historical capital of the Dimasa Kingdom, ruins of stone carvings + the partially restored Kachari stone temple.
Return Haflong. Dinner at hotel. Haflong has quiet nights — no bars, no nightlife.
