Why Special
Tadoba is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park, and arguably India's best for tiger sightings. The open dry deciduous forest and meadows (unlike the dense jungles of Corbett or Ranthambore) mean animals are visible from further away. The park has around 80+ tigers, wild dogs (dhole), sloth bears, leopards, and over 195 bird species. The Tadoba Lake is the park's lifeline — most big cat action happens around its shores.
