Gurudwara Likhansar Sahib.
Pilgrims to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib head straight for the main darbar and the sarovar. Likhansar - the room where the work everyone is here for actually happened - sits a short walk inside the same complex but doesn't get pointed out unless you ask.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
This is the spot where, over nine months in 1705-06, Guru Gobind Singh re-dictated the entire Adi Granth from memory to Bhai Mani Singh after the original was lost at Chamkaur, producing the Damdama Wali Bir - the version still recited today. It earned Talwandi Sabo its second name, Guru Ki Kashi, the Varanasi of the Sikhs. Quiet hour is mid-afternoon between langar shifts.
