Kangla Pass Trek
Kangla Pass Trek is a hard 7-day, 55 km trek, topping out at 5,500 m. The route takes in Cross from Spiti to Kullu over 5500m pass; Pin Valley National Park — snow leopard habitat; Views of Great Himalayan Range from the pass; Ibex herds commonly sighted on approach. Best months: July–September. Watch points: Very high pass at 5500m — AMS risk severe; snow on pass even in August — crampons essential; pin Valley NP permit required. Fitness level: extreme, permits required, not recommended for children under 18. Nearest hospital: CHC Kaza (start side) 45km. Kasol PHC (end side). No medical help for 4 days mid-trek. Network coverage: BSNL in Mudh (weak). Zero coverage days 2-5. Returns near Kheerganga (weak Jio/Airtel).

Cost Estimate
Guide and porters essential. Operators: Rs 22000-30000/person from Kaza including transport logistics, camping, food, guide, NP permits. Vehicle coordination between Spiti start and Kullu end.
