February warms Kushinagar to a pleasant 25°C by afternoon while mornings retain enough chill to make the walk between stupas and temples feel crisp and intentional. Ramabhar Stupa — where the Buddha was cremated — catches morning light at angles that turn its ancient brick to amber. The pilgrim circuit is uncrowded and unhurried.
Live in Kushinagar
Government-run, one of the few reliable options. Clean rooms, garden, close to the Mahaparinirvana temple. Book ahead — limited rooms and Buddhist pilgrimage groups fill them fast.
