Two-day festival celebrated at Deeg Palace with great pomp, honoring Lord Krishna and Braj region heritage. Features colorful fountain displays (900 fountains operational), Rajasthani folk performances, kabaddi, rope pulling, Mehendi art, and rangoli competitions.

February warms Deeg to 10-26°C. The palace gardens show early spring colour, the surrounding mustard fields blaze yellow, and the combination of 18th-century architecture with Rajasthani agricultural landscape creates a scene that belongs in a Mughal miniature painting.

SignatureAloo Kachori
Go before 9am for the first batch — the oil is cleanest then and the kachoris are still puffed (they collapse after two hours sitting). Eat with their chutney bowl (mint-coriander); skip the sweet tamarind which is overpowering. Pair with chai from the adjoining stall, not from Gopal's counter directly. ~₹30 for two kachoris plus chutney.

Stop on the way to Deeg (not on the return — kitchen quality declines after 9pm). The unlimited thali includes baati that is fired in a tandoor on-site; ask for it with desi ghee on the side, not poured over. They will pack a thali-to-go in foil if you want to eat on the palace lawns.
Eat early — kitchen often pre-cooks the buffet for incoming bird-tour groups and runs out by 9 PM.
