The Kalsubai peak trek (Maharashtra's highest at 1,646m) is the main draw from Oct to Mar. Monsoon brings the Umbrella Falls and Ratangad-reflection photos. Pick MTDC for immediate lake access; go private only if MTDC is booked out.
MTDC Bhandardara Holiday Resort is the primary on-site option β no upscale alternative exists at the lake itself. Private resorts like Anandvan sit further from Arthur Lake. The honest trade-off: MTDC for lake-access location, private resorts for facility quality 10-15 km away.
