Qila Anandgarh Sahib.
Pilgrim coaches stop at Takht Kesgarh Sahib and Virasat-e-Khalsa, then head out. Anandgarh - the principal of Guru Gobind Singh's five Anandpur forts - sits 1.5 km away and reads, from outside, like just another marble gurdwara.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
This is the fort the tenth Guru lived in for 25 years while fighting both the Mughals and the hill rajas, and the only one of the five with a working baoli sahib (stepped well) accessible via an underground passage beneath the main hall. The current marble structure dates to 1970s reconstruction, but the baoli is original. A short climb gives the cleanest view of the whole Anandpur ridge.
